Jürgen Einpaul is a structural engineer with more than ten years of professional experience at the engineering consultancy EstKonsult. From 2011 to 2016, he worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), where he completed his doctoral degree in 2016 with research focused on the punching shear behaviour of reinforced-concrete slabs. He subsequently continued his research as a postdoctoral fellow in the United Kingdom and Portugal from 2016 to 2018.
Jürgen has designed both timber and concrete structures for projects ranging from Loodusmaja to the Rail Baltica Ülemiste terminal. His professional interests include combining advanced digital tools with classical structural-analysis methods and optimising building structures to achieve efficient and elegant solutions.
Alongside his engineering practice, Jürgen teaches as a Professor of Practice at Tallinn University of Technology and the Estonian Academy of Arts.
